Preppin' for a Nor'Easter Oct 29, 2011

My power stayed on and we only received 2". The drill is over.

This Nor'easter was a dress rehearsal for what's to come this winter.  I had already prepped my snow thrower but I had to dig out my gloves, stocking caps and longies.

They predicted 2" and that's exactly what I received.  It was a heavy and wet snow and I pushed and shoveled most of it without evening starting the snow thrower.

I'm grateful that the power stayed on at my home because the daytime temperature was 43 degrees with a strong wind and the wind chill factor was around 35 degrees.  My cable through Comcast and my FiOS with Verizon both stayed on.

I had friends in York Maine, Townsend MA, Woburn MA and New Hampshire without power and heat! Nice time to have a generator and a wood burning stove!
