Yesterday I stopped by the Depot Square Grille (formerly the Seafood Depot) in West Medford Square for arguably, "The Best Lobster Roll in Medford." This is according to a homemade sign in the store and they just might be right! At a mere $10.00, it was absolutely delicious! They also won the Medford Patch Reader's Choice Award in 2012 for Best Seafood Restaurant.

The subject of parking meters on High Street came up and Theresa and Linda are both opposed to it and said that all but one of the business owners in West Medford Square are also opposed to them. Being the Doubting Thomas kind of person that I sometimes am, I decided to take an informal and totally unscientific survey of the business owners and managers in the square by posing this simple question to them, "Are you in favor of or opposed to the possible addition of parking meters on the street in West Medford Square?"

I started at the Bistro (Manager not in yet) and ended at the Paul Revere Diner (Closed). Two hours later, and with some excellent pros and cons on both sides of the issue, the results are 12 opposed, two in favor and five undecided. A lot of the undecided voters wanted to know if parking enforcement is going to be included with any new meters. I also went back later in the evening to speak to a few more owner/managers.
