St. Joseph Medford Council 141 Knights of Columbus installs new officers.

Grant money is available.

The St. Joseph Medford Council 141 of the Knights of Columbus has elected their new officers for the year beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.

Pictured in the photo and from left to right are Warden William J. Iacopucci, Grand Knight Bill Wilder, Chaplain Fr. George "Chip" Hines and Financial Secretary Arthur Botelho.  The photograph was taken by Deputy Grand Knight Jim Morse.  In the background is the stained glass window donated by Medford Council 141 which is the Baptism of Jesus and is dedicated to the Deceased Members of the Medford Council 141.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic organization for practicing Catholic men age 18 and older which has grown from several members in one council to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members worldwide.  http://www.kofc.org

In 2012, they volunteered more than 70 million hours of their time to charitable causes and donated over $158 million to charitable causes, for both individuals and organizations.

One of the many programs gives cash grants to children with disabilities under the age of 21.  Some of the items that are covered are wheelchair ramps, elevators, stair lifts, automobile lifts and hearing aids. The majority of this money comes from the Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities, formerly known as "The Tootsie Roll Drive."
