KAREN SPILKA EARNS ENDORSEMENT OF STATEWIDE UFCW

All UFCW Locals in Massachusetts are now backing Karen Spilka for Congress

The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1459 has endorsed Karen Spilka for Congress. This is the fourth UFCW local to back her candidacy and marks unanimous statewide support from the UFCW for her in this race. “UFCW is united in supporting Karen Spilka for Congress in the Fifth District because she is the obvious choice for working families,” said Dan Clifford, President of Local 1459. "Karen stands up for the middle class. She gets what it’s like for people living paycheck to paycheck and we trust her to do what is right for working people.”

“I am running to be a strong voice for working families in Congress and I appreciate the statewide support of UFCW,” explained Karen. "I will fight to end tax breaks for the big corporations and the wealthiest Americans; we need tax breaks for the middle class. I will hold the big banks accountable, just like I have as a state senator and I will push back against the entrenched special interests that are trying to hijack our democracy.”
