Albert 'Al' Puccia Sr., Lifelong Medford Resident, Dies at 71

Puccia died Saturday, Jan. 25.

Albert G. “Al” Puccia, Sr., 71, of Medford, died Saturday, Jan. 25, unexpectedly in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born in Brookline, he was a lifelong resident of Medford and the son of the late Rose (Marchese) and Joseph Puccia. Albert was a carpenter for 25 years with Kaplan Corporation in Brookline and retired in 2007.

Beloved husband of Alberta (Cappannelli) Puccia. Devoted father of Albert G. Puccia Jr. and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury, Joseph Puccia of Norton and Pamela Longo and her husband Michael of Chelmsford. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren. Brother of Claire Sestito and her husband Robert of Medford, Rosemarie Bryan and her husband Tom of Wareham, Anne Spagnolo and her husband Lou and Josephine Hoff and her husband Charles, all of York, Maine.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
