Claire F. Cote, 66, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 5th, 2013.
She was born Oct. 3, 1947, to her parents William and Frances (Good) Burgoyne. Claire was raised in Everett and Malden. She was a longtime resident of Arlington and has been a resident of Medford since 2001. A graduate of Mt. St. Joseph High School in Brighton, Claire worked as a secretary at the Sullivan Creative Advertising Agency in Boston for many years.
She is survived by her husband John Cote; by her children: Jason Cote and his wife Jennie of South Boston and Danielle Cote of Medford; by her grandchildren: Stella and John Joseph; and by her siblings: William Burgoyne of Colorado, Paul Burgoyne of Norwood and Eileen Mehaffey of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Claire was predeceased by her sister Margaret Whalen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden, on Tuesday Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 9, from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Claire's name to the charity of your choice.
