Helen Hanson, 86, Medford Resident

Helen R. (Richter) Hanson died on Aug. 3 at the age of 86.

She is survived by her husband Richard S. Hanson, her sons Richard S. “Kim” Hanson and his wife Beth and Douglas Hanson and his wife Debra, all of Medford; four grandchildren Rhea, Joshua, Chelsea and Michael Hanson; a brother, Douglas Richter and his wife June of Tilton, N.H., a sister-in-law, Joan Blake of Reading and the family dog, “Abby”, according to an obituary on the Magliozzi Funeral Home website.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 11a.m. in the Congregational Church of West Medford, 400 High St. in Medford. Funeral arrangements are being performed by Beals-Geake Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave. in Medford.
