James Caliri, 74, of Medford, Worked for MBTA

James W. Caliri of Medford died on July 27 at the age of 74.

Caliri was raised in Waltham and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Then worked for the MBTA as a sheet metal mechanic, according to an obituary on the Dello Russo Funeral Home website.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Deborah Bardsley of Grafton, Darlene Corrow of New Durham, N.H., Karen Geyssel and her husband Michael of Cologne, Germany, his grandchildren Jason Caliri, Clint Bardsley, Jessica Woods, Kate Corrow, Sarah, Kirstin and Christopher Geyssel. He was the great grandfather of Leah Woods, Collin and Haley Caliri.

Funeral will be at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. in Medford, Friday, Aug. 2, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. in Medford, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in James' memory to the charity of your choice helping Veterans.
