James O'Brien, Active in Medford Youth Sports, Dies at 43

O'Brien was a lifelong Medford resident.

James J. O'Brien passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, at the age of 43.

A lifelong Medford resident, Jimmy volunteered for many Medford youth sports programs with a special love for Medford Youth Hockey and recently St. Clement High School Football. Jimmy was a loving and dedicated father to his children, a friend to all who knew him and educated in the issues of the working man and woman as his pride of being a Local 25 teamster was apparent to all who knew him.

The beloved husband of Kerri Ann (Welch) O’Brien, he was a loving and devoted father to his beautiful children: Courtney, Brendan and Jeremiah O'Brien. He was a dear son of Maureen and James O’Brien and brother of Robert O'Brien. Jimmy will be deeply missed by his loyal dog Lucky.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, Friday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Interment Private.
