Julio P. Ferullo, Longtime Medford Resident, Decorated Veteran, Dies at 89

Ferullo died Sunday, Nov. 10.

Julio P. Ferullo, 89, of Medford, died Sunday, Nov. 10, after a brief illness in the Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge.

Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for many years and was formerly of the North End of Boston. Son of the late Carmela (Rizzo) and Pasquale Ferullo. Julio was a manager and the former A&P Tea Company in Boston for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1943-1945, serving in Normandy and in the Rhineland. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Pappalardo) Ferullo. Brother of the late Eleanor Ferullo, Grace Tortorici, Dorothy Murad, James, William, Henry and Anthony Ferullo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
