Medford Native Dies in New Hampshire House Explosion

Audrey Anzalone died March 31.

Audrey Anzalone, 88, who was born in Somerville and grew up in Medford, died March 31 from injuries sustained in a house explosion at her home in Danville, N.H.

She was born Sept. 21, 1925 in Somerville, daughter of the late Pascal Breeden and Beatrice Boundy.

Audrey grew up in Medford, one of seven children. She was a very talented hairdresser for many years and opened her first salon in Wilmington. In 1966, she moved to Danville, N.H., and later re-located her salon to her home. Audrey was a former longtime resident of Tewksbury.

Audrey was well known for her love of Christmas, her Christmas decorations and animals. She also enjoyed coin collecting.

She was predeceased by her husband Benjamin Anzalone and her son Roger Propst.
Audrey is survived by her sister Sylvia Cobb of Tewksbury and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Danville Baptist Church, 226 Main St., Danville, N.H.  Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Danville, N.H.
