Nunziata 'Nancy' Castellano, Longtime Medford Resident, Dies at 93

Castellano died Friday, Nov. 29.

Nunziata “Nancy” Castellano, 93, of Medford, died peacefully Friday in the Newton Wellesley Center, Wellesley.

Born in Italy, she lived in Medford since 1970 and was formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Natalia (Berni) and Angelo Marinucci. Nunziata worked in the Boston’s Garment District for 30 years as a stitcher and a sample maker and retired in 1982.

Beloved wife of the late Antonio Castellano. Devoted mother of Francesco Castellano of Medford and Maria Teresa Federico of Andover. Loving grandmother of Marcello, Massimo, Natalia, Oriana and Caterina. Loving great grandmother of Max, Livia and Leo. Sister of Liverata Marinucci of Australia.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Nunziata’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
