Obituary: Carmela 'Carmel' Baglio, Lived in Medford for 67 Years

Baglio died Saturday, Dec. 28.

Carmela “Carmel” Baglio, 91, of Medford, died Saturday after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Born in Boston, she lived in Medford for the past 67 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Vincenza (Nuzzo) and John DeMattia.

Beloved wife of Eugene Baglio. Devoted mother of Sandra Baglio of Stoneham, Janet Haskell of Medford, Gene Baglio and his wife Maureen of Waltham. Loving grandmother of Cheryl, Travis, Amy, David, Jennifer and John. Loving great grandmother of Thomas and Paige. Sister of Ernest DeMattia of Medford, and the late Concetta, Chester, Joseph and Frank DeMattia.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
