Obituary: David M. Thrower, 57

David M. Thrower, 57, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

He was born in Malden on Dec. 26, 1956, to his parents Ruth (Dow) and William Thrower. David was raised and educated in Malden. He is a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1974. He also attended Bunker Hill Community College as well as Control Data Institute. David worked as a computer engineer for over 20 years. More recently, he joined his wife at her travel agency, PMT Travel. He is the Area Director for NACTA, the National Association of Career Travel Agents. David was an avid bowler. He has been a member of the Paul Mahoney Bowling League for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Corbett) Thrower; by his sisters, Susan Stalneckder of Purmela, Texas, and Elaine Souchak of Mahanoy City, Pa.; and by his brother, William Thrower of Olathe, Kan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia Mackey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden, on Monday, March 24, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 23, from 2-6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donation in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
