Joanne (Doherty) Kimball, of Medford, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Somerville, and raised in Charlestown, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Sr. and Mary (Sablock) Doherty.

Joanne was the beloved wife of 26 years to Lawrence Kimball. She was the loving sister of Mary Hardy of Medford and her late husband Terry, Frances Rose and her husband Patrick (BPD) of West Roxbury and Daniel Doherty Jr. and his wife Linda of Salem, N.H. Joanne was the sister-in-law of Edwin J. Kimball and his wife Joan of Pinehurst, N.C., John F. Kimball of Plymouth and his late wife Mary and Anne Edgerly of Andover. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 55 Warren St., Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Joanne's name may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 33 Lyman St., Westborough, MA 01581.
