Marie V. Bruno, a resident of East Falmouth and formerly of Stoneham and Medford, died at her home on Saturday morning, Dec. 7, 2013.
Born in Medford, she was the beloved daughter of the late Salvator and Carmela (Ferrara) Bruno. Marie worked as an Administrative Secretary at MIT for many years, retiring from the Office of the Chairman of the Board in 1994. An avid reader of history, she enjoyed visiting historical homes throughout the eastern part of the country.
She was the loving sister of Ann T. Bruno of East Falmouth and Naples, Fla., S. Francis and his wife Joan Bruno of Woburn, formerly of Medford, and the late Anthony S. Bruno of Medford. Devoted aunt of Michael and his wife Susan Bruno, Janet Mosey and Lauren Bruno, all of Woburn, and James and his wife Susan Bruno of Stoneham. Great aunt of Connor, Alyssa, Nicholas, Jake and Benjamin.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave., Medford, from 9-10 a.m. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
