Mary E. (Wickwire) Ames, 63, of York, Maine, formerly of Wilmington and Medford, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Dennis W. Ames; devoted mother of Jill Ames of Merrimac and the late Douglas Ames; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Doris (Glennon) Wickwire; dear sister of Elizabeth McStay of York, Maine, Charles Wickwire of Pelham, N.H., and Robert Wickwire of Wilmington. Mary was also the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for a mass of Christian burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), WILMINGTON, on Monday, Jan. 13, from 5-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
