Obituary: Nicholas R. DeBiccari, of Medford

Nicholas R. DeBiccari, of Medford, died on Friday, Dec. 20, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Boston's North End, he was the son of the late Francesco and Vincenza (DelSonne) DeBiccari. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

Nicholas was the beloved husband of Elena (Musto) DeBiccari with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Lynda DeBiccari of Boston, Frank DeBiccari of Medford, and the late Leslie Stoop. He was the loving grandfather of Emilio Matarazzo and his wife Linda of Tyngsboro, Jaclyn Matarazzo of Winchester, Ashley Matarazzo of Medford, the loving great grandfather of Emilio and Isabella Matarazzo, and brother of the late Rose Coco. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Nicholas' name may be sent to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 N. Main St., Natick, MA 01760.
