Obituary: William A. Koenig, Past President of Medford Kiwanis Club

Koenig died Wednesday, March 12.

William A. Koenig, of Tyngsboro, formerly of Medford and Winchester, died peacefully on Wednesday evening in the company of his loving family. He was 73.

Mr. Koenig was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late John and the late Elsie (Frank) Koenig. He served in the National Guard and owned his own company, Moulton Electric. Later, he worked at the electrical contractor firm of S R Dodge of Stoneham until his illness overcame him. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed many long friendships. A Winchester resident for many years, before moving to Tyngsboro, William was a longtime active member and past president of the Medford Kiwanis Club.

The beloved husband of the late Gail (Bacon), he leaves his children: William A. Koenig Jr. and his wife Linda of South Carolina, Linda S. Koenig of Tyngsboro and Karen L. Koenig of Tyngsboro. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, March 17, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William's name to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 North Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830.
