Patrick S. Tracey, Lifelong Medford Resident, Dies at 93

Tracey was a decorated veteran.

Patrick S. Tracey, a lifelong Medford resident, died peacefully on Friday at the Aberjona Nursing Center. He was 93.

The son of the late Patrick and Katherine (Turner) Tracey, Patrick served in Africa and Europe with the U.S. Army during the World War II, earning the Combat Infantry Badge and two Bronze Battle Stars. After the war, he worked as a house painter and also later worked for the City of Medford, Department of Public Works. Patrick was a longtime member of the VFW Post 1012.

The beloved husband of Veronica (Bryan), he was a devoted father to: Janet Quigley and her husband Ronald of Medford, Kathleen Raimo and her husband Dennis of Medford, Patrick J. Tracey of Woburn and Daniel B. Tracey of Medford. He was a loving grandfather to Erin Piazza, Kate and Colleen Quigley, Jamie Tracey, Meaghan and John Raimo. The dear brother of the late Kathleen McCormack, Mary Jenkins and Genevieve DeLauriers, he leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Monday, Oct. 28, from 4-8 p.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, and again on Tuesday morning at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, Medford, at 10:15. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
