Robert H. Nolan, Medford Resident, WWII Veteran, Dies at 92
Nolan lived in Medford for 50 years.

Robert H. Nolan, 92, a 50-year resident of Medford, formerly of Maine where he was born and raised, died on October 10, 2013.
Robert was the beloved husband of the late Rena (Boone) Nolan and the loving father of Patricia Hazelton and her husband Robert of York, ME and Estero, FL, Janet Nolan and her companion Russell Silva of Salem, NH and James R. Nolan and his wife Joyce of Somerville. He was the dear grandfather of Robert Hazelton and Derek Nolan and great-grandfather of Ryan and Hunter Hazelton.
The funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) in Somerville on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 15, from 4-8 p.m.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and member of the Greatest Generation serving proudly in WWII. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, payable to Bedford VAMC Patient Programs, 200 Springs Rd. Bedford, MA 01730 or DAV Somerville #27, 616 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144.
