Robert 'Papa' MacInnis Sr., Loved Everyone But the Yankees, Dies at 82

MacInnis died Thursday, Dec. 5.

The following is from Dello Russo Funeral Home.

Robert L. MacInnis Sr., "Papa," 82, of Medford, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 5, surrounded by his family.

Papa was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, coach and sports nut. He was loved by all and just as importantly loved all - except for the Yankees. He was an active member of the Arlington Retired Men’s Club and a veteran of the Korean War. Papa always remarked that his greatest achievements were the family he and his wife Jeanette created and nurtured.

He often said that he had no items left on his bucket list and if he were to die today, he would die a happy man, passing with no regrets and if he had to do it all over, he would do everything exactly the same way.
