Severino Biagioni, WWII Army Veteran, Meat Cutter, Dies at 93
Biagioni, of Medford, died Thursday, Dec. 12.

Severino Biagioni, of Medford, died Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Winchester Nursing Center. He was 93.
A Medford resident for most of his life, Severino was the son of the late Giuseppe and Ancilla Biagioni. After high school he enlisted in the Army and fought in the Pacific during World War II. Once he returned to Medford, he worked as a meat cutter at Columbia Packing. He served as President and Business Agent for Local 11 of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butchers of America, AFL-CIO. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW and was active in the Holy Name Society at St. Francis Parish.
The beloved husband of the late Ritarose (Schmidt) Biagioni, who passed away this past October, he was a devoted father to John of Newport, R.I., Paul of Lynn, Thomas of W. Bridgewater, Kenneth of Fitchburg and Mark of Medford. He was a dear father-in-law to Marianne Biagioni of Somerville and a loving grandfather to Brenda, Kenneth, Jr. and the late Manuel Biagioni. The dear brother of Rita Beisser, Clara Leo, the late Adele Iacopucci, Peter, Aldo and Albert Biagioni. He was a dear brother-in-law to Laura Biagioni.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Severino's name to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, MA 02155 or to the charity of one's choice.
