Victor 'Vic' Rossi Sr., Longtime Medford Resident, Dies at 71

Rossi died Friday, Dec. 27.

Victor H. “Vic” Rossi Sr., 71 of Medford, died Friday after a long illness in the Spaulding Hospital, Cambridge.

Born in Somerville, he lived all his life in Medford. Victor was a laborer with Local 22 for 50 years and retired in 2005. He also was the Labor Steward for 44 years with Local 22.

Beloved husband of Joyce (Russo) Rossi. Devoted father of Victor Rossi Jr. of Stoneham, Michele Kendall and husband Richard of Plymouth. Loving grandfather of David, Daniel, Marissa and Matthew. Father-in-law of Elena Rossi. Cherished son of the late Mary (DeFuria) and Harry Rossi. Brother of the late Marie Jennings and Rosalie Fisher. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Victor’s name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701
