Why Crossing Gaurds should not be used for parking violations

Dear Neighbors,

Crossing Guards predominantly choose to be crossing guards because they like kids.  It's that simple.  As it is they are disrepected by motorists, and some drivers speed around school buses and through the crosswalks.  The guards are often in danger when the sun is hitting the driver in the face.  Crossing guards by disposition are not parking ticket material.  
When and if we ever get a full city wide program of parking enforcement it would be my preference to have an independent contractor do the dirty work that will cause grumbles and possible vandelism or worse when we have to start enforcing it. 
All moving violations should be handled by the police department.  A car in motion can be used as a weapon.
