Athletic Director Edward “Ted” Dever is the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation by the Arlington Police Department and Middlesex District Attorney’s office, according to Arlington Superintendent Kathleen Bodie Wednesday. The investigation involves allegations of “certain criminal conduct,” she wrote. “While we cannot comment on the allegations or on the investigation, we are unaware of any allegations of conduct that involves the operation of the Arlington High School athletic programs or of the Arlington Public Schools,” she added.

Arlington Police Chief Fred Ryan confirmed the ongoing investigation Wednesday. “There is an ongoing investigation,” he wrote in an email. “If and when it results in a criminal complaint or and/or indictment, the public will be notified.”

Prior to being named athletic director in 2007, Dever was a guidance counselor at the high school. Before that, he was a guidance counselor at .

Superintendent Kathleen Bodie’s statement:

The Athletic Director has been placed on administrative leave with pay after notification from the Arlington Police Department that he is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Police Department and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office involving allegations of certain criminal conduct. The Superintendent has concluded that the best interests of Arlington Public Schools and its student-athletes are served by leave pending the outcome of the investigation of these allegations. This action is not a determination that the allegations are true. While we cannot comment on the allegations or on the investigation. we are unaware of any allegations of conduct that involves the operation of the Arlington High School athletic programs or of the Arlington Public Schools. Any further questions should be directed to Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan.

This is what happens when Arlington morphs from a middle class, hard working populace to a elitist, snobbish, look at me I support lizzy warren crowd. There is a definite increase in pettiness and narcissism when the radical left wingers take over and that's the point Arlington is at. Sorry to day..your athletics are in tough shape, the academics are average and in the end your still Arlington..face it..as much as the moonbats want to think..your not Lexington..your not Cambridge..your not even Watertown. However, you will fereventlt support the incompetence of devalued and barry Obama without fail..great job!

It is our opinion that the owner of this agency had made himself a limited public figure and thus is open to public scrutiny and evaluation...The Owner refused to post his name and contact information on web site or release it for public knowledge. Why does the owner hide from his clients?
