MacDonald Park is across from the mall where the tower is not near the shell.

If no Id on her how do they know she's 30? Very sad.

I'm really curious what this investigation uncovers. I'm a 29-year-old runner who frequents the paths in MacDonald park a few times a week... I always considered it safe in daylight!

Her identity is known but out of respect for the family, it hasn't been released. There was no evidence of attack or trauma in the preliminary cause of death. This is a tragedy for all that knew her.

How do you know so much about this SP?
John C. December 03, 2013 at 08:05 AM
Whoever this woman is my condolences goes to her family. I am sure many people are concerned as to the cause. Many people including me frequently walk or run theses paths. I have never encountered any problems, however I wouldn't recommend a single female to be out on the paths alone when it is getting dark though anyone female or male would be vulnerable due to some isolated areas.

A single male can be just as vulnerable. ALL should be aware of their surroundings and use caution along with common sense when alone anywhere. May she Rest in Peace

I agree with you Eileen.

Thanks John, I thought you would. Happy Holidays!

What dies this mean - "death does not appear to be suspicious"?
John C. December 09, 2013 at 04:34 PM
Old Lady, Death does not seem suspicious could possibly mean they are ruling out trauma related causes such as homicide maybe also suicide, but are looking at various medical causes. The autopsy results when ready will show the cause of death.

With all the high Marsh Grass you are very vulnerable in that area. I had some crazy's too guys with grey hair and mustaches watching me there once behind the tall weeds. This was a few summers ago. Haven't been back since. The New Bike to the Sea is the safest I think to walk. My Deepest Condolences to the Family. Its very sad to loose one so young.

David I don't walk in the area behind the State Police Station for obvious reasons if you know who I mean frequents it, but walk around the rest of the park around the river and never had any strange incidents you describe for all these years, but anything is possible anywhere you walk in isolated places. You always have to be vigilant, but things can happen to good people.
