Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:
There will not be a farmers market at Heritage Apartments for the first time in nine years. A combination of construction at the Pleasant Street development and the city's inability to find an alternative site for the summer has forced event organizers to shutter the market—which ran from the second week in July until October—until 2012. But - the Medford Farmers Market on Mystic Valley Parkway is going strong. Open every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring 15 to 20 vendors.
: Five college students will bicycle into Medford to spend July 7 to July 11 helping to strengthen and inspire community groups, and supporting a regional movement for creating a more sustainable world.
: Alec Finn and Joe D'Alessandro will both be taking their game to college next year, with Finn playing at Curry College and D'Alessandro at Hudson Valley Community College.
Fire rained down from an NSTAR utility truck cherry picker Tuesday afternoon outside Teele Square, setting a car on fire, causing an NSTAR truck tire to explode, and nearly killing at least one NSTAR employee.
Pretty Wauhm: It's going to be sunny and about 90 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. Highs tomorrow in the mid-80s with a slight chance of thunderstorms.
