Man Wanted For Medford, Somerville Robberies

Suspect has allegedly robbed three Medford stores.

Somerville police released surveillance video of a suspect who robbed the Somerville QuickStop Convenience Store, at 219 Highland Ave., at gunpoint.

In the video you can see the suspect pull out a pistol and threaten the store's clerk with it while the robber helps himself to about $1,000 in cash from the register and money box.

The robbery happened Sunday night. Police believe the suspect is the same man who robbed three stores in Medford.

Here's the announcement from Somerville police:

Somerville Police are seeking to identify the suspect depicted above.  On 1/27/13, the suspect entered the Quick Stop Convenience store at 219 Highland Avenue.  The suspect showed a long barrel handgun and demanded cash, “including the money in the box under the counter”.  Suspect fled with approximately $1000.00 in cash.  This is believed to be the same suspect who committed three armed robberies in Medford on 1/24.  The suspect appears to be wearing the same black knit cap with grey stripe in all robberies. Suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
