Medford Man, a Fugitive, Arrested in Chelsea

Man was wanted on charges stemming from allegedly breaking a police officer's hand.

A Medford man was arrested in Chelsea Tuesday night on outstanding charges stemming from allegedly injuring a police officer, according to state police.

State Police had previously tried previously to arrest Michael Ritson, 31, but were unsuccessful as he fled on a motorcycle, according to a State Police press release.

Ritson faced three outstanding charges, including unarmed robbery, stemming from an incident in June that left a Milton police officer with a broken hand, police said.
