Medford Man Arrested After Several Reading Car Breaks

A 21-year-old Medford man was arrested Thursday, July 25, after allegedly breaking into several cars in Reading.

Ricardo, DeSouza, of 94R Spring St., Medford, was charged with using a motor vehicle without authority and five counts of receiving stolen property.

Police located DeSouza on Azalea Circle in Reading at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday after several reports from nearby residents.

Police believe DeSouza was working with a partner. After DeSouza’s arrest, at about 9:30 a.m., a Reading resident reported that her car had been stolen. The car was later located in Cambridge, police said.
