Medford Man Who Allegedly Beat Homeless Man in Boston Arrested Again

Marc Sico failed to make a court appearance, according to police.

One of two Medford men who allegedly brutally beat a homeless man in Boston last year was arrested at his Medford home Friday for skipping court appearances, according to transit police.

Marc Sico and James Marino, both 21 and of Medford were arrested in Boston's Back Bay last March after police allegedly spotted them punching and kicking a sleeping homeless man. Boston and Transit Police searched the area and found the suspects; both were charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

But after being released on bail, Sico has failed to make his court appearances, according to MBTA police. So they went to his Edward Street home Friday morning and arrested him for failing to appear in court, according to the MBTA police blog.

nothing says your "the man" like beating up a sleeping homeless man in the back bay. next time you boys want to beat someone up why dont you stay on the orange line a few more stops and get off at Ruggles station or Roxbury crossing. test your toughness there. I knew someone in highschool who killed a man in harvard square over $8.00 that was '91 or '92 he's in jail. Your lucky you didn't kill this person, you wouldn't have made bail if you did.

Marc Sico is a caring loving young man who unfortunately one night made a big mistake. People need to learn that you cannot judge someone off of one mistake. People make mistakes in this world everyday and have learned from them. Marc has turned his life around and has been doing great for himself and his loved ones. He does not let the media and the people who write things about him bring him down. He is a very loving person who would never intentionally want to hurt someone. He has realized what did was wrong but it was one mistake and he has never been in trouble with the law before. So judging someone because the newspaper and media makes it look bad is wrong on all of your parts. You can't listen to what the papers have to say they always blow things up. I love Marc and will be sticking by him because at this time he needs the support and love from the people that care about him. Leave him alone and do something better with your lives besides leaving outrageous comments about someone you don't even know!

In total agreement with you Leo. These are the things that try to break you but you are stronger than that Marc and you know that you are going to make it through this especially with everyone by your side. People try to bring others down because of their own issues with themselves, just remember not everyone is perfect and people do male mistakes it is a human instinct to make mistakes everyone does. Keep working hard so that when it comes around you can raise your hand up and say screw you to everyone that ever doubted you, you are going somewhere my love you will make it far and everything will be ok. There is no giving up on you, I am happy to say I am by your side more than a 150 percent and that I will always be by your side no matter what. All that you need to remember is that your family and loved ones know the real Marc Sico who cares what these bogus people have to say. Stay strong my sweet boy, I love you.

Hell of a guy who apparently can't make his court appearances.

Anonymous, participating in TWO unprovoked vicious gang beatings in the same night of defenseless people (including a SLEEPING homeless man) doesn't qualify you as someone "who would never intentionally want to hurt someone". Not manning up to your "mistake" by ignoring your court appearances makes you nothing more than a coward. I also wonder how many more people he would have assaulted before he got caught. Criminals like him a only sorry when they're caught. Oh, wait... he never showed up for court to say how sorry he is.

You dont just throw a punch or kick and say "ohh my bad I didn't have any intention on hurting you" unless youre training in a gym.... I work the door at a bar in that area, and I see/deal with the young drunk kids that flood the bars... I think its safe to say that if they were recently arrested and were 21 years old they were probably drinking underage at the time of the assault... Anyway more importantly if you AND a friend fight 1 person and STILL feel the need to kick that person on the ground (sleeping or not) youre a coward, and that is further proven by you not showing up to court and facing what you did... People make mistakes but still own up to the mistake and take the punishment... Anonymous tell enjoys kid to man the f---up...

Ask the homeless guy if he is caring and loving.

You should have stayed by his side earlier. Beating a sleeping homeless man shows some serious issues and sure people make mistakes but seriously.

Wow thanks for the laugh... he is a wannabe thug through and through. I'm ashamed I even know him and went to the same school as him. Just because he hasn't been in trouble with the law before doesn't mean anything, it just means he hasn't been caught before. If he had really turned himself around maybe he would have gone to court and been a man for once in his life. I almost feel bad for him though, doesn't have the family power to get him a slap on the wrist like James Marino did.

Funny, when I make mistakes, I don't beat up sleeping homeless people, but i guess everyone is different. He may be sweet to you, but did you ever ask how he got that scar above his eye (what was that, 2 and a half years ago now?) It's time for a reality check, and if he does something this horrendous and everyone around him supports him fully then he's never going to change.

mark sisco's "mistake" was being born. he is a cowardly scumbag, end of story. he is getting a lot of "caring" from big african-american cellmates in cambridge jail. he is wearing lipstick by now.

Mayor Mac Cheese? How can you even take yourself seriously with that as your name..you should probably know your facts before posting something like that..too bad Marc isn't even in jail so he won't be getting any "caring" from big African American cell mates..prejudice much ? I guess you know what it's like to have to put lipstick on and be someone's bitch

I'm sorry, but while all of us make mistakes, not all of us deserve a second chance when they do. This kid is clearly a punk. I don't need to know him to make that judgement -- I didn't know Bin Laden either, but I have a good sense of what he was all about. And if this kid truly "turned his life around," he would have Manned Up and taken the heat at his court appearance. But no, he again proved he's really a wimp, and now he will get what's coming to him. We are all better off for his being off the streets...
