Medford Returning to Odd-Side-Only Overnight Parking, Effective Immediately

Do you agree with the move?

Medford police announced Wednesday afternoon that the city is returning to odd-side-only overnight parking for roughly the next month, effective immediately.

The move changes the city’s winter parking rules back to what they had been before this year.

According to police, “This has become necessary due to the large amount of snow on the side streets which has narrowed the streets considerably. Fire apparatus, ambulances and sanders have been unable to travel on many side streets, jeopardizing public safety.”

Vehicles parked on the even-side of the street overnight will be ticketed and may be towed if police determine that the free flow of traffic is impeded.
