Medford Skateboarder Arrested in Boston’s Government Center

He was arrested early Sunday morning.

A 22-year-old Medford skateboarder was arrested Sunday near Boston’s Government Center MBTA station after allegedly smashing a car’s back windshield with his board.

Shawn MacMillan was charged with malicious destruction of property, according to MBTA Transit Police.

Several witnesses told police at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, that MacMillan had smashed the car’s back windshield on Cambridge Street and then started swinging his skateboard around.

Officers said MacMillan said “unintelligible comments” at the scene.
