More Charges for Accused Medford Child Predator

Peter Campobasso allegedly used Facebook and other social media sites to prey on underage girls.

An alleged child predator from Medford is facing new charges, as he tried to pay a 15-year-old Foxborough girl for sex, according to authorities.

In April, Peter Campobasso, 30, of 21 Vista Ave., Medford, was charged with posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct after he allegedly offered a 12-year-old Mansfield girl cash and gifts in exchange for nude photos of herself. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.

In late June, The Sun Chronicle reported Campobasso, a carnival worker, is facing new charges, as he also allegedly tried to set up a meeting with the 15-year-old girl at the Renaissance Hotel at Foxborough’s Patriot Place. The meeting never happened, authorities said.

Campobasso has pleaded to these new charges, enticing a child under 16, enticing a child for prostitution, attemptoing to engage in sexual conduct with a child under 18 for a feee and sending obscene matter to a minor, according to the report. The incident occurred prior to his initial arrest, as Campobasso has been in jail.
