Stabbing Near Tufts Campus

The suspect and victim were known to each other, according to police.

A male was stabbed at a Capen Street residence early Monday morning, according to a Tufts University Police alert.

Medford police responded to the incident, near Capen and Winthrop streets, at about 4 a.m. The victim was not affiliated with Tufts; the university posts alerts for incidents close to campus.

The victim was visiting someone’s home on Capen Street when he was stabbed by another male, who took off in a cab, police said. The victim and suspect were known to each other and known by police, according to the alert.
