1. SCHOOL COMMITTEE: The Medford School Committee will meet tonight in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, first at 6:45 p.m. for a caucus, then at 6:55 p.m. for an organizational meeting, then their regular meeting at 7 p.m. The agenda can be viewed here.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORYOn this day in 1789, America's first presidential election is held. Voters cast ballots to choose state electors; only white men who owned property were allowed to vote.
