Kelly's Roast Beef in Medford Approved to Stay Open Until 3 a.m.

The Station Landing restaurant will keep its drive-through open until the early morning.

Those craving a roast beef sandwich really early in the morning now have their fix.

The Medford City Council on Tuesday approved a request from Kelly's Roast Beef in Station Landing to keep its drive-through open until 3 a.m. The approval includes a review of the change in hours of operation in six months.

The restaurant is currently open until 1 a.m., according to Kelly's business development director Dan Doherty, who appeared before the council Tuesday night. Kelly's first opened in Medford in 2006, he said.

The hours change came with the approval of the council's subcommittee on licensing, chaired by Paul Camuso, and was generally well-received by the council. Councilor Michael Marks said he lives nearby and that Kelly's "constantly takes good care of property."

Councilor Fred Dello Russo said the restaurant has been involved in the community since it opened.

"They continue to succeed because they put out a good product," he said. "Yum, yum, yum -- I move to approval."

The request to extend hours was approved unanimously.
