Medford’s even-side winter parking ban, which is usually in effect from Dec. 1 to April 1, has been eliminated except for declared snow emergencies.

City Councillor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, who worked with the Traffic Commission to implement the change, which is still going to be on a trial basis, has proposed the following resolution to make sure residents know of the change:

“Be it resolved that the City of Medford be notified that the odd/even winter parking ban, which is usually in effect from December 1 until April 1 has been eliminated EXCEPT for declared snow emergencies. Due to the trial nature of this initiative and public safety, it is very important that when their is a declared emergency, our residents abide by the ban in order to make our streets as safe as possible for all.”
