Special Council Meeting Tonight at 8:15 p.m.

City Council will attempt to take up the full agenda it shelved on Tuesday.

The Medford City Council will attempt to pick up the pieces from Tuesday night's aborted meeting with a special meeting tonight.

According to a posting on the city website by City Clerk Edward Finn, the meeting will begin at 8:15 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Medford City Hall.

The agenda for the night is a duplicate of Tuesday night's agenda and can be viewed here.

The council ended Tuesday's meeting after attempts to vote for a president and vice president for 2013 failed when Councilor Robert Penta invoked "section 22," a motion halting all debate on a topic, on both votes.

This came after Councilor Michael Marks raised questions about a potential conflict of interest for councilors nominated for those positions to be voting for themselves.

Without an organization to conduct the meeting, the meeting was adjourned and the remainder of the agenda tabled to tonight's special meeting.

Agenda items include the granting of a common victualler license for the new Stop & Shop location on Salem St., which is scheduled to hold its grand opening Friday morning.
