PHOTO: Medford High Football Cheerleaders Go Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Medford High football cheerleaders are using hot pink pom poms for games in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Breast Cancer Awareness is one of the high school cheerleaders long standing charities,” said first-year coach Anne Raimo, a former Medford High cheerleader. “Unfortunately, a number of cheer mom’s have been touched by breast cancer, and, therefore, we have supported this cause for the past 10 years.”

The cheerleaders walked in and raised money for the American Cancer Society’s Annual Breast Cancer Walk in Boston. In September, they wore “Boston Strong” hair bows, with the proceeds going to the One Fund Boston.
