Marijuana should be legal in every state, our federal government has kept it illegal for manyRead More reasons, one reason, it works to build a Police State, and that's where we are now! With parts of our federal government behind false flags, 911, Sandy Hook, and others! Our govt. lies to us, and kills its own people, our constitutional rights are being lost, these rights we are losing, the children of law enforcement and the military are also losing!.. At some point Law Enforcement and the Military have to stand up to our corrupt federal government the AG from each state should call to impeach the president and arrest congress and the senate for selling out our country! We should get our constitution back to where it was, when it protect “ We The People”.....Marijuana is the revolution, its a step toward getting our states rights back from the feds!!

I think it's great! I know that particular area well and have used the cross walk to cross over.Read More VERY FEW CARS ever stop. In Arlington where I live there have been a rash of people crossing Mass Ave in cross walks who have been hit and seriously injured. Good for Somerville for trying to get the message across to drivers that if someone is in a cross walk the drivers must stop to let them cross.

they have about 16 eavesdropping cameras throughout the city(and all connected to room in D.C. whereRead More all America is being watched), the police could use them. I am just as concerned about all the young people who cross the street without even stopping or looking. city should paint STOP on the street pavement at the point where people step onto the street. I do not think this is a revenue issue. kevin crowley

My elderly mother was hit by a car while in a crosswalk in a nearby quiet town. She was badly hurt,Read More had a knee operation to put her knee back together and spent 4 months in a rehab. She will never walk without assistance again which has aged her considerably. As a pedestrian I can stand at a crosswalk for several minutes before anyone will stop. The cars just fly by and ignore you, and when I'm crossing I try to make eye contact with each driver before walking out because I've had so many close calls where someone isn't paying attention and nearly hits me mid-cross. I often wonder why police don't take crosswalks more seriously and pull people over who don't stop. It's about time they did something!

And as most law enforcement people know the "undocumented people" here have a perfectlyRead More clear record of whatever they did in their country. Call you local police and ask. You have to realize that alot of these cabs are driven by people from other countries that don'tRead More obey traffic laws and may overcharge! A 911 Bomber drove a cab in Boston. A friend of the Marathon Bombers was just arrested by FBI while working as a cab driver in Braintree! Got to keep your guard up at all times!

Pepper Spray is illegal, no ?
Jazelle LaMare June 29, 2014 at 12:13 pm
New Hampshire is the only state that supports, personel self-defense. Massachusetts, the policeRead More say, "You're on your own". Calling 911 is as effective as yelling for help! In fact yelling for help might get you a few by-standers to watch and take cell phone movies for latter.

In defense of drug abusers, nobody could listen to that electronica stuff without some kind ofRead More sedatives.
Brian F Hickman June 27, 2014 at 09:19 pm
That is a very difficult place to control at a concert. Drugs are smuggled in and the place is dark.Read More Alcohol is also available and they have SECURITY handling the inside and not enough Boston Police. Concert crowds notice that and proceed to get "Messed Up".

Martin...the road block didn't destroy your life...it may have saved others lives. You destroyedRead More your own life by drinking and driving..be glad that you got caught before something worse happened.

I have to move out of this State. It's ok for the State police to fish for drunk drivers but not toRead More send illegal aliens back to their third world countries? So tired of the double standard of this State.
GMan Extreme June 26, 2014 at 08:57 pm
Martin, are you insane? You knowingly chose to drink and drive and you're blaming the checkpoint? IRead More hope you really never drive a car again! Cindy, if you really have a problem with the occasional announced checkpoint that will get drunks off the road possibly saving lives, then do leave the state. I have zero tolerance for anyone stupid and irresponsible enough to get behind the wheel while impaired putting others lives in jeopardy. Anyone here who thinks this is ok is obviously also impaired, but on a full-time basis.

As stated earlier, illegal immigrants are just that - illegal. Yet, Massachusetts turns a blind eyeRead More to it. The mayor of Somerville welcomes them: http://michaelgraham.com/liberal-ma-mayor-to-illegals-ldquo-this-city-belongs-to-you-i-work-for-you-rdquo/ and Mass law states that they receive any and all public entitlement programs that are offered. I think this is a violation of constitutional rights. Having a phone in your pocket is a personsRead More right. They should have to prove it was being used to be able to fire a person. It really isn't much different then driving with a case of beer in your backseat. Consider FedEx and UPS they communicate to their dispatch through scanners. You can regularly see them doing it while they drive.

Cell phones kill. MA, which is a highly regulated state, made a HUGE mistake allowing adult driversRead More to use cell phones in cars. In NYS it is strictly forbidden to be holding a cell phone while driving. Why not in MA? People are insane about their phones. The roads are hideously unsafe.

too logical, Harry. Going to a film in Boston yesterday I saw 4 drivers texting. I said to a youngRead More lady in her car "Oh, wow, you can text and drive, so agile" or something. She looked guilty and put the cellphone down, but she was driving in the heart of Boston ...go figure. I was on the sidewalk and you can just see them all texting away, like it is legal or something...entitled jerks.
Joe Viglione June 13, 2014 at 06:16 am
Not saying the driver was texting, just noting how everything is out of control

And yet another level 3 sex offender arrested (Harvard Sq. T station, 6/14/14), victimizing anRead More autistic person. This isn't going to stop. Catch, re-ajudicate, re-incarcerate. This revolving door policy costs money, not to mention the pain and suffering, and indignation (that the State allowed it to happen) of the victims.
Natalie June 15, 2014 at 10:16 am
Even if they are registered it doesn't stop them from repeating the crime. Knowing where they liveRead More doesn't stop them from walking, driving or taking a bus to bus stops malls libraries playgrounds or anywhere they can easily find more victims
Buyer Beware June 28, 2014 at 04:58 pm
Shallow-minded people will always side with the errant government against the people. Sex OffenderRead More Registrants are actually nearly the least likely to reoffend in all categories of crimes, but almost never are arrested or otherwise incarcerated for a subsequent sex related offense. Keep picking on the new nigger created in the wake of the priest sex abuse and daycare center cases from the 1980s. Stay stupid, or start researching the true facts before making statements. EVERYONE should suffer public humiliation and ridicule for every sin they have ever committed, rather than pointing out governmentally-created pariahs. Fuck yourselves, you ignorant slaves, while you maintain security that your sins aren't revealed.
