Ovi Wants to Celebrate the New Year With You

This cat is looking for a new home. Could it be yours?

PAWS (Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization serving several communities north of Boston. Happy New Year! I certainly hope you will have something good to celebrate as we enter 2013.  I, on the other hand, am not in the mood because I won’t have anyone to be with to watch the ball drop or to kiss me at the stroke of midnight. But, you go ahead and have a good time. I don’t mind. I will just stay here at PetSmart and wait for someone to fall in love with me and take me home.  It’s not a big deal.  I am not a party guy anyway.  Not really.  Well, ok, maybe a little.   I’ll just have to postpone my celebration until I have a real home with people who love me and toys to play …

Mitzi the Wonder Dog Wants to Go Home with You

The PAWS pet of the week.

PAWS (Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society) is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal welfare organization serving Wakefield and other nearby communities. Sniff, sniff… you smell good. Can I come home with you? I really want a home and even from here I can tell we are a match. My name is Mitzie Horn. I am a one-year-old black and white puppy. I can’t give you a pedigree since I am a combination of things as you can see. But I think I really turned out to be quite sleek, elegant and special… a one of kind. I am a very happy and friendly girl. I have met one other dog here about my own size and I love to play and wrestle with her. I also love to chase balls and play with stuffed toys. I have a special toy I keep in my cage when I can’t be…
