Busing between Sullivan Square and Oak Grove this weekend starting Friday night at 9 p.m.
Buses will replace Orange Line trains between Sullivan Square and Oak Grove MBTA stations beginning 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Dec. 16. All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities. Normal Orange Line train service will resume on Monday, Dec. 17.

Big changes could be coming to the MBTA. Patch breaks down the impact to you, the rider and wants to hear what Medford has to say about potential changes.
The MBTA recently released this document detailing a plan for potential fare increases and service reductions for the entire MBTA transit system. The biggest change for Medford comes if the second of the two proposed “scenarios” passes. Scenario two would impact the bus lines in Medford quite dramatically. The 355 Express Bus would be eliminated for weekday services as well as completely removing the 95 and 96 buses from service. The 101 and 94 would be sparred completely from a reform. There are also a host of buses going out of Wellington Station that will be affected, although the above mentioned are the only ones that travel through Medford. The proposed MBTA cuts will strangle the metropolitan area if implemented! Most of the proposed cuts to bus, commuter rail and rapid transit service will make it difficult and, in some cases, impossible, for most people to get to work or to work much needed overtime (commuter rail to close at 10 PM and cease to run entirely on weekends).
