Website launching new channel dedicated to the kickoff of Black History Month.
Made in Medford, the local segment of Comcast’s Project Open Voice, is creating a new channel to kick off Black History Month and to celebrate two important events this week: the inauguration of President Barack Obama and Martin Luther King, Jr., Day. "The channel will kick off with a video that highlights local youth who will talk about what the past words of MLK mean to them today," according to a release from Made in Medford. "Local activities to be featured include youth from the Medford Boys & Girls Club using an excerpt from Dr. King’s 'I Have a Dream' speech as a platform to discuss their own dreams in a video filmed by Tufts University students," the release stated. "Residents will talk about what black heritage means to them." …
