What's the Latest on the TV3 Closure?

We have an update in this week's edition of "You Ask...Patch Answers."

TV3 Medford Community Cablevision's Director of Operations Daniel Sarno, Jr., announced last week the community access station will be closed due to "building safety issues" at its 5 High St. headquarters. Over the weekend, Sarno gave Patch an update on what is going on with the station: The property manager of 5 High Street and a team of engineers have determined that the cause of the consistent flooding was a failed sump pump located under the main elevator shaft. It was difficult for engineers to locate the pump initially. The pump was repaired on 1/17. TV3 will remain closed for portions of next week as management and professionals rule out all potential safety and health risks associated with the flood. It is advised that members call…

TV3 Closed For 'Building Safety Issues'

The station will be closed until Jan. 22 at the earliest due to a foundation breach at 5 High St.

TV3 Medford Community Cablevision's Director of Operations Daniel Sarno, Jr., announced this week the community access station will be closed due to "building safety issues" at its 5 High St. headquarters. Sarno sent Patch the following statement in an e-mail: Just wanted to let the community know that TV3 has been closed for the past week and will remain closed until at the very earliest 1/22/13. The high water table in Medford Square has caused a portion of 5 High street's foundation to breach, constantly flowing water into our space. We are working with the property manager of 5 High Street as well as a team of engineers to fix the structural problems.
