Osborne Announces Medford Council Candidacy

Attorney makes his announcement with a video on Patch.

Medford attorney Neil Osborne announced his candidacy for the Medford City Council in a video he posted on Patch Monday. The video can also be seen to the right. Osborne is holding a campaign kick-off event Saturday at the West Medford Community Center from 12 to 2:30 p.m.. Osborne, who was recently appointed to the city's Community Development Board by Mayor Michael McGlynn, said this is the first time he has sought public office. 2013 is a city election year in Medford. Nomination papers for open offices will be available June 18, with the election to be held Nov. 5.

When Does Filing Open For Medford Election?

This week's edition of "You Ask...Patch Answers."

At Tuesday's Medford City Council meeting, the council unanimously approved the calendar of dates for this year's Medford city election. Nomination papers for the city election will be available starting Tuesday, June 18. The city's preliminary election would take place Tuesday, Sept. 17, followed by the city election Tuesday, Nov. 5.
