News that Walmart may be considering a Medford location sparked reaction back in March.
In January, Patch reported on the possibility that a part of the Glen Meadow Mall on Mystic Valley Parkway could be redeveloped as a Walmart in the near future. The news generated a good amount of discussion with people on both sides of the issue, some were open to the business while others were worried about its overall impact. There will likely be more discussion at the Medford Public Library Tuesday night with the screening of the documentary "Walmart: The High Cost of Low Prices." The screening and discussion will start at 6:30 p.m., according to a Patch blog post Friday from Edwin Argueta of the Medford Stands Up to Walmart Coalition. For more information, contact Argueta at 617-524-8778 or edwin@massjwj.net.
