Blizzard warning goes into effect at 6 a.m.
The National Weather Service is continuing to call the storm expected to hit the region as a "potential historic" one that has been upgraded from a blizzard watch to a blizzard warning. The blizzard warning goes into effect at 6 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. Saturday. The NWS said winds are expected to gust up to 60 mph today. Scattered power outages are anticipated and damage to trees and structures could also take place. The heaviest of snowfall is expected along the I-95 corridor, the NWS said. Most …
