Quidditch is No Joke at Tufts
Tufflepuffs - the unofficial quidditch squad for Tufts University - took second place at the World Cup for the Harry Potter-inspired sport.
They're called the Tufflepuffs, and they play their sport with broomsticks. They're also one of Tufts University's most successful teams this year. The Tufflepuffs - who are not an official university club or athletic team - took second place out of 46 teams at the Quidditch World Cup on Nov. 14, losing to perennial Quidditch powerhouse Middlebury. They headed into the elimination round of the tournament as the 13th seed, and the team considers the second place finish as a great accomplishment. "We're extremely happy," said Carly Boxer, team captain. "As a new team we weren't really expecting that much, the fact we came in second was really exciting."
